Altea

There's no better sun protection than a hat. Just keep it simple for the holidays and take care of the ocean breeze.

We went to Altea, a little city in Spain near to Alicante at the Mediterranean Sea. There are so many artists and painter that you can see them everywhere (as there is a faculty of fine arts). Altea is said to be the cultural centre of that region. This week was dedicated to them and huge paintings were hung to the old village's balconys. So we just strolled around and let the small stairways guide our way.

Rinascente/ Mozzarella Bar

Once you decide to make the great escape and head for other countries to spend your vacation, make sure you enjoy every second of it. Of course, travelling always includes good food, indulgence, eating sometimes a bit too much - but if it's in selected restaurants, there is rarely a better thing to do.

In our case, we spent some days in Milan and stopped at Rinascente for early dinner. And because summertime is ideal for salad, we had Mozzarella, Pesto, Cherry Tomatoes and Salad at Obiká. While watching the Duomo, we made our plans for the next day: Via Montenapoleone & Via Spiga for some (window-)shopping.

Dieses Mal haben wir uns für Wandern in Südtirol entschieden. Es gab so viel zu bestaunen, viel zu sehen, gutes Essen, viele fröhliche Abende und schöne Ausflüge - mit interessanten neuen Bekanntschaften.

Rein ins Auto, rauf auf die Autobahn, Musik im Ohr und raus aus der Stadt.

Little Preppy Things / The House of Alberto Franchetti

Alberto Franchetti (* 18. September 1860 in Turin; † 4. August 1942 in Viareggio), italienischer Komponist.

Sein Haus in Cavazzone wurde im Originalzustand gelassen und wird von der Familie Sidoli und der Associazione Alberto Franchetti liebevoll gepflegt und instandgehalten.

Wir finden: klassisch. Stilvoll. Und ziemlich preppy.
